We are a collective of organizers who believe in an inclusive and spacious movement. We also believe that in order to win and bring as many people with us along the way, we must move beyond the narrow nationalism that is all too prevalent in Black communities. We must ensure we are building a movement that brings all of us to the front. We Affirm the lives of Black queer and trans folks, disabled folks, undocumented folks, the incarcerated and folks with records, women, and all Black lives along the gender spectrum. Our network centers those who have been marginalized within Black liberation movements. We are working for a world where Black lives are no longer systematically targeted for demise.
We affirm our humanity, our contributions to this society, and our resilience in the face of deadly oppression. The call for Black lives to matter is a rallying cry for ALL Black lives striving for liberation.
We believe we are our own liberators.
Meaning we support movements that are led by oppressed groups that are Black-led and Black centered. We are against groups that exclude any oppressed nation or group. (Queer, trans, disabled, women, etc.)
We do not work with the police or politicians.
We refuse to be used to maintain the status-quo of this violent white supremacist system. We refuse to work with people who have shown us over and over that our lives don’t matter.
We are anti-capitalist
Capitalism is the number one killer of Black people. Whether its the lack of healthcare, housing and education here at home or the exploitation of workers in Africa for raw materials, capitalism has been a well-oiled death machine for Black folks globally. The only way to liberation is through the dismantling of Capitalism.
We want abolition, not reforms.
We know that reforms are only put in place in order to shut us up. Slavery was reformed but we still have Black people being enslaved every day! Defund, disarm, abolish the police!
